The Do's and Don'ts of Skateboarding

Imagine going down a ramp with a crowd of people watching you. You go on the rail but just at the end you hit your tailbone on the end of the rail. The commentators say “now that's gotta hurt”. That happens more often than you think. There are lots of things that could have caused that and there are lots of ways to keep yourself from falling.

If you feel weird and can't turn then try bending your knees. This is one thing that is very important and I cannot stress enough. Place your weight better and learn how to shift it. Everyone who knows how to drop in has it as their second nature. But you still can mess up so build yourself upon the height of the ramps.

As I said earlier place your feet apart and balance your weight because if you fall you can break your board too. Ways to stop your board from breaking are to wax your deck nose and tail. It will leave less wear than it would without wax. If you don't want your knees and hands to look like you work in a mine (from falling) then either try to avoid pebbles or get soft wheels. Soft wheels make you go slower and hard wheels make you faster. If you wanna get good use hard wheels because because they are better for practicing while going fast.

Watching X Games, SLS, and skate videos can give you inspiration. Never watch Hollywood skate movies because you’re supporting something that's ruining skateboarding. If you go to the skatepark it's fun but if you want a challenge skate on the street. However, you can get hurt on stairs, rails, hubbas, curbs, and small ramps. Never skate on something with skate stoppers because you can get hurt and they can ruin your deck.

If you start skating watch out for imfomiss karen/kyle. There seen on street and in parks they will have 1-3 kids with scooters or there just in the bowl doing parkour don't go in a ten foot radius of here kid or you will get screamed at. If your on the street and see one leave if you don't wanna get arrested they will call the cops on you for no reason.

Those are the dos and don'ts of skateboarding.
